🏒 Virtual Consignment Procedure

We provide a flexible consignment service where you retain possession of your hockey trading cards while we handle the marketing and sale. Here's how it works:

1. Submit Your Cards for Review

• Fill out the Virtual Consignment Form on our website including:

• Card details (year, brand, player, set, card #, condition)

• Clear photos of front and back

• Any grading info (e.g., PSA, BGS, SGC)

• We will review and respond within 2 business days with approval or questions.

2. Agreement & Commitment

• Once approved, you must commit to an exclusive consignment term (60 days).

• “If you sell the card elsewhere during the consignment period, you must notify us within 24 hours and provide proof of sale (e.g., invoice, transaction screenshot, or confirmation email). If we receive proper notification within this time frame, we will unlist the item without penalty. Failure to notify us may result in a penalty of $50 or 10% of the intended sale value, and you may be restricted from future consignment.”

3. Listing & Marketing

• We use your submitted photos or request updated ones for better quality.

• We create optimized listings on our site and marketplaces (eBay, etc.).

• Our team promotes your card to a targeted audience of collectors.

4. Pricing & Terms

• Commission Rates:

• 20% for cards under $0-$999

• 15% for cards $1000–$2499

• 10% for cards $2500

• Standard listing duration is 60 days.

5. Sale Process & Shipping

• Once a buyer commits to purchase, we notify you immediately.

• You must ship the card within 3 business days using tracked shipping or proof of shipping if the value of the card is under $100.

• You cover shipping costs initially, which will be reimbursed or deducted from your payout.

 

6. Payment

• After the buyer receives the card and the return window closes (typically 10–15 days),

• We issue payment via PayPal, e-transfer, or check within 7 business days.

7. Liability & Authenticity

• You are responsible for securely storing the card during the consignment period.

• By consigning, you confirm you are the legal owner and the card is as described.

• False claims or misrepresentation may result in account suspension and legal action.

8. Unsold Items

• If the card does not sell after 60 days, you may choose to:

• Ask us to lower the price and extend the listing

• Withdraw it from consignment without penalty

📄 Consignment Agreement Terms & Conditions

1. Exclusivity Clause

The Consignor agrees not to list, offer, or sell the consigned item(s) through any other platform or directly to any buyer during the active consignment period without prior written approval from YourHockeyCards.com.

2. Immediate Notification Requirement

The Consignor must notify YourHockeyCards.com within 24 hours if they can no longer fulfill the consignment agreement due to sale, damage, or loss of item.

3. Breach & Penalty Clause

If a Consignor breaches this agreement by selling the item privately without informing YourHockeyCards.com, they agree to reimburse all related costs including refunding the sale amount, transaction fees, and a breach penalty of $50 or 10% of the sale value, whichever is greater.

4. Legal Responsibility

The Consignor confirms they are the legal owner of the item and that all submitted details are accurate. False representations may result in legal action and permanent disqualification from future consignment services.
